Linking an Image in Glogster to the Webpage It Came From
It's important to acknowledge where you get any images from. When creating a glog, we link the images to the webpage they came from if image citations are not in your linked/attached Works Cited page. Follow the directions below for each image you put on your glog.
FINDING AN IMAGE:
1. Open 2 tabs in your browser. Log into Glogster in one tab and in the second tab, use a search engine (Bing, Google, etc.) to locate an image of your animal.
2. Click on the image, then click the "Visit page" button to take you to the webpage that the image is from.

ADDING IMAGE TO YOUR GLOG (2 WAYS):
1. (USING A DESKTOP/LAPTOP)
3. Right click on the image you want and select "save picture/image as" and then save the image on your personal (H drive - double click on Computers, then select the drive with your name.) Give the file a meaningful name. Click Save.
4. DO NOT close this webpage tab yet!
5. Go to your Glogster tab and edit your glog.
6. Select Images from the black toolbar. Click on Upload, then select the image file you just saved on your H drive.
2. (USING A CHROMEBOOK)
3. Right click the image on the web page and select “Copy image URL”
4. Go to your Glog in edit mode - click on Images on Tool Bar.
5. Click My Images → Click the image cloud with a DOWN arrow.
6. Paste the copied image URL into the box and click “add to your image”
7. Be patient. It can take up to a minute or so for the file to upload depending on the size of the file.
8. Select the image then click Use it! The image will be on your glog. You can close the toolbar box now.

LINKING IMAGE BACK TO THE WEB PAGE IT CAME FROM
9. Go back to the webpage tab.
10. Copy the webpage address (URL) from the address (URL) field at the top of the screen. (Right click-Copy OR Control-C)
11. Go back to your Glogster tab.
12. Click on the image. On the menu bar that surrounds the image, select the linked chain box, then paste the copied webpage address into the address box that pops up (you must use Control-V to paste, right click does not work here.)
13. Click the Apply button and you are done.
14. You won't see the blue link circle with "WWW" in it until you view your glog in Preview mode.
